The whole purpose of saving attachments in 1Password is a way to safely and securely save sensitive attachments that one would not want to store elsewhere. And in fact, it is worse than that, because clicking on the attachment name automatically downloads it (without prompting) and then you are displayed a temporary notification at the bottom that has a "Reveal" button to open the Downloads folder to go see the downloaded file, meaning it would be easy for people to inadvertently download an attachment to their Downloads folder.Īnyone can get tons of free cloud storage using any number of different services. But that is very problematic because many people backup/sync the Downloads folder with less-than secure cloud storage services (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, Onedrive, etc.). Unless I'm missing something, if you want to view or download an attachment, 1Password 8 forces the attachment to be downloaded to the default Downloads folder in Windows. ![]()
